That's me!

Happy new year! (and welcome to my new blog, by the way!)

So as the title of the blog suggests, I'm not a blogger, I hate blogging, it's never appealed to me, and in all honesty the simple reason is I've never known where to get started. But this blog goes against the rules of "not" being a blogger, for this my dear friends.... wait for it.... is a blog! My blog!

My name is Steven Crossley (though please, call me Steve, or Ste), I'm 23 years old, I'm a trance musician who (aside from blogs) loves the whole web 2.0 thing. I hate iPhones, but love smart phones in general (particularly Android), and am in love with my Playstation 3. I happen to "bat for the other side" as some would say, though to be honest I'm hardly going to make a scene about it, as that's just my preference and not a reflection on me. It's just worth mentioning in case my preference grosses some people out. Not that I particularly care it it does, but don't stick around if ya don't like it :-)

Music (geeky bit): I use a combination of Ableton Live 8 and FL Studio 9 for DAWs depending on the purpose, and my favourite VSTis are Nexus, Sylenth1, Vanguard, Absynth 4 and FM8. I've been producing trance, house, chillout and orchestral chillout since spring 1997.  You can hear my music on soundcloud!

As I mentioned earlier, I love my Playstation 3, and at the moment I'm not particularly hooked on any game, just playing around with little games here and there, like Echochrome ii, DC Universe BETA (which I've stopped playing as I don't want to ruin things when I buy it) and Tumble. The most recent game I was hooked on was Uncharted 2 (I was a little late with that one), and before that, Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, Dragon Age and Heavy Rain (the latter 2 of which I aim to replay... after several replays already, in the next few months). Games I'm looking forward to this year are Uncharted 3, Dragon Age 2 and InFamous 2. Oh yeah, did anything ever come of I Am Alive? ok. I just wiki'd it and apparently it was due for release in 2010 but got delayed to Spring 2011, so lets add I Am Alive to the list, and then theres the fact I'm likely to become hooked on Guild Wars 2 at some point in the year, deserting my PS3 for the PC.... ok, I'll stop this now!

I work in IT. As you can probably tell by now, I'm a bit of a geek, but I'm not going to go deep into what I do for a living as I would only bore you (if I haven't already done so!)

There are a LOT of things that I enjoy in life; I'm a 23 year old human being, and with 23 years of experiencing a whole variety of things, I couldn't possibly list everything I enjoy into one blog post, but if you stick around I'm sure you'll get to know a little more about me. To summarise on a few of these though, I like cooking, clubbing, reading, movies, drinking. I don't drive, I'm not house-proud (I'm quite messy), and I'm not one for beating around the bush.

So that's me, and a bit of a rough idea as to what you can expect from my blog. Blue hair, sailor boys and pissed passed out shenanigans! Back soon, I think!
